Welcome bdesul,
Alcohol is a MAJOR trigger for migraines. I given you a link below to reach, and not just take my word.
/americanmigrainefoundation.org/understanding-migraine/alcohol-and-migraine/As for the gabapentin, I have been on this twice over the last 10yrs. Once as brand Neurontin at 1200mg
and Gab at 2050mg...
It does nothing for my pain.
However it helps many people. This medication as MANY SIDE EFFECTS. including the possibility of RENAL failure.
I strongly suggest you talk to the prescribing doc. Be honest about
your alcohol intake and how often and the side effects you have discribed.
May an appointment as soon as possible, try to reduce your drinking.
www.drugsdb.com/rx/gabapentin/gabapentin-and-alcohol/Now the ironic thing is, the med has been found to help people who have an addiction. SO if this applies to you
between the doc and other supports, you are already ahead of the game.
