I did not take more Excederine. I put ice packs on and my head almost "dissapeared" and I fell asleep exhausted. The headache was only really bad for a couple hours, but it was sooo long, over 24 hours and it really wore me down. Also, my back really tensed up. The icepacks gave me a break althought they didn't work as well when the pain was really bad. The pain is worse when my little boys are running around and whining and screaming, so it was lots better once they went to bed and I relaxed. Around 9:30 last night, it stopped. I am going to see my doctor this week. The frequency has been considerable this past month. I think it may have something to do with the summer. I woke headache free this morning, but have been having mild sinus and tension headaches today. I guess its just a reaction to everything. I don't want to take a decongestant or tylenol, because I just don't want to risk any medication reaction. I had a chance to take a short nap while the little ones slept this afternoon and it gives me more energy to cope with the pain. These headaches quite frankly feel like nothing compared to a migraine. I can still function and think and control my emotions, and I'm not nauseous.
I would like to know more about rebound headaches. I'm not sure I understand what they are exactly.
Thanks
Kate
