Migraines and Fibromyalgia

I have had severe Migraines for years, but yesterday I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia (which I don't know much about). My Dr. said that many people with chronic migraines also have this and I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice and info on this.

Hi nhkat,

Welcome to Healing Well. I do not have Fibro as well as migraine but I know there are some who do, or support people who do. Why don't you have a look at the Fibromyalgia board and talk to some of the folk there, I am sure they would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

hi-
my mom has both, i have just migraines. there is a ton of info out now on fibro (or as my mom and i so lovelingly call it "fybbie") it can be a very difficult thing to deal with-i speak from experience. get all the info you can. my mom uses a website by Dr. Weil

search fibro and see what you can find on that site-it gives good info in migraines too! both that and headaches are not a pretty picture! good luck to you! remember-IT IS A REAL DISEASE-just like headaches!
