Does anyone have ear/teeth/neck pain with migraines?

Just wondering if anyone here has suffered ear/teeth/neck with migraines?  I have been getting migraines for about 8 years.  I have been to 3 different ENT docs and they say that nothing is wrong with my ears.  I notice that my ear bothers some everyday, but when the migraine hits it has a ear eache type pain and it seems like I have a megaphone sticking out it with everything magnified.  I never had the teeth pain until I started physical therapy about 8 weeks ago.  My migraines are a burning, boring,, throbbing pain in my neck, back of head (left side), and above left temple, and sometimes when its real bad, my nose will run on that side and also my eye.  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry you are having such a rough time with your headaches. Have you seen a Neurologist? I think you would benefit from seeing a Neurologist who is a Headache Specialist! What meds are you on? I was constantly referred back to ENT some years ago because my nose becomes blocked on the affected side amongst other things, and have been treated for sinusitis many times too!!

My pain is burning too and on the left, but I do not have any throbbing or pain in my temple. It is quite interesting how we are all different! I am being assessed by a Neuro who is a Headache Specialist at the moment and I am looking forward to finding the best way forward with him!

hello I hope you are feeling better.  I alo think you should visit a neurologist as well for the migraines, but also maybe consult someone regarding an ailment called TMJ.  This ailment can cause migraines and other dilemas to the head and neck and is a jaw disorder that is sometimes overlooked in headache/migraine sufferers especially if the pain is on one side and involves the ear and teeth.  If you see a specialist maybe mention that you would like to see if your symptoms have a TMJ relativity.  In many cases migraines are a symptom of TMJ. TMJ can be found on the internet sorry I cannot recall the whole name for TMJ but this may explain some of the problem and possibly allergies as well or sinus problems.   It seems as if you have to go through a slew of tests sometimes to find the cause of ailments but in time it is worth getting down to the root of the problem.  I hope that you feel better soon take care Phoelona

Hello Jenny here is the meaning of TMJ Temporo Mandibular Joint. You have two Temporo Mandibular Joints in front of each ear. Hormones, low level infections can add to the TMJ becoming symptomatic or flare up. Abscessed teeth or sinusitis or sinus infections can also cause a flare up of TMJ. Tmj diagnostics can include headache on one side of the face, head or neck, and include facial neuralgia(nerve related facial pain). As you can see TMJ is a very easy thing to oversee due to the other ailments involved and can easily be overlooked by Dr if the Dr is not looking for TMJ or is unfamiliar with TMJ. This information was obtained on the website TMJ Associated limited. I am just a little curious since the Dr seems to think there is nothing wrong with your ears that something is getting overlooked in the process. I hope that you go to this site it is very helpful and many of your symptoms are posted on this site as possible cause of TMJ, I feel that you should ask your Dr sine you meet many of the requirements for TMJ.
