I get terrible migraines & I also feel that making myself throw up definitely relieves the pain. However, it usually is only a temporary fix and works best when you have something in your stomach. If there isn't anything in my stomach, then I just throw up bile & this white foam stuff - once I get to that point, it just gets worse and I can't stop vomiting.
However, I did find a somewhat "miracle," cure in applesauce for the nausea portion of it. I've found that if I take half a spoonful of applesauce (the non-chunky kind) at a time that it will settle my stomach to the point where I can keep food down.
Also, squeezing the pressure point between your thumb and your index finger helps as well sometimes.
Caffeine helps sometimes - if you usually drink it and then don't have it your body goes into caffeine withdrawl, which can cause headaches and contribute to migraines.
