Persistent throbbing pain

For quite awhile now, I've had this problem where (generally everyday, especially in the morning, but sporadically throughout the day) when I shake my head quickly (to get my hair to move to a certain part of my head), I feel a deep, moderately severe pain. Several times though, this pain has evolved into a full throbbing sensation toward the front of my head or near my left hand ear even if I don't shake my head.

Any ideas what this is? I don't have a history of headaches or migraines, but my mother has them very very often.

Hi Doe Knob,

Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry I have not responded up to now!. I am afraid I cannot help you with this, I would however, suggest that you give up shaking your head as this seems to be encouraging the problem! Have you talked to your Doctor about this? If not, I would suggest that you do!!

I agree time to a Dr. You probably have an issues you cannot easily see or feel.
