Hi,
Just signed on to this forum. I have had severe migraine in the past three days (low-pressure system) and I go to the doctor tomorrow. He has already told me he wants to treat it "naturally" and I don't want to deal with that. I have had them for almost 30 years on and off and I have twin toddlers and cannot afford in that regard to try this med or that dose. He makes me feel like such a pill-seeker b/c all I want to do is treat it with fiorinal etc.
Anyway, all advice and suggestions welcome. (I have tried other meds -- to no good end -- i.e. Topomax sent me into kidney failure and the ICU for three days...)
Angi, I saw your earlier message about PCOS. You need iodine therapy. Cysts in the breasts, ovaries, or uterus are almost always symptoms of iodine deficiency. I recommend that you go to the Curezone.com site and look up the Iodine Support forum and do some research and get on the protocol set forth on breastcancerchoices.org a.s.a.p. Same is true for people with thyroid issues. Doing the research has been shocking to me -- we are pretty much all deficient, and it's essential for virtually all bodily functions, so you will never begin to heal until you have adequate stores of iodine.
Good luck to all and I am grateful to find others who understand about migraine. I cannot believe how much I dread the summer with all of its storms now. :(
