Interesting site. Thanks for the info.

I have found reading thru so many in my hunt for "what's wrong" with me, that I keep fitting alot... so I just collect the symptoms and dump them on the neuro and wait for him to tell me... othwerwise I think I'd go nuts! I don't want to fit these things I read, but for him to hear me then tell me what he knows by what he sees and the results he gets... it's so not a "science"! :) So many many things can mimic MS too or is it MS mimic's so many things?

This is true. I have a daughter who is now 27 she got Transversal Mylitis at the age of 11 and from all that I have heard from her doctors while she was growing up is that it is a sister disease to Ms. So when I hear about things to do with autoimmune diseases I check them out. As of right now I have bee dx with Fibro but I'm now wondering how did she get an autoimmune disease if not through me. So I am trying to get more answers.

Thanks for the link.  75% of autoimmune affect women is a high number!

anybody ever  heard of low dose naltrexone for autoimmune diseases? IT seems to have a following for ms, Chrons and fibromyalgia.

Yes, LDN is being tested by some solid groups (like the National MS Society and others) and has a huge "fringe" following on the net. I'm waiting for the proper double-blinded placebo-based test results to come out (the kind being done by the NMSS, for example), before considering it.

Low Dose Naltrexone has been available for more than twenty years as an off label drug for MS.  I kind of think that if there was any merit to it it would have been proven by now.  There is some anecdotal success but MS and the human body is far too complicated for that to prove an sort of efficacy as far as I am concerned.   But that is just my opinion.  I see from your other posts that you are a pharmacist.  I hope you are not trying to pitch or sell anything here.  Please read the forum rules carefully if you have not already done so.  There is a link to the rules in the side bar on the right side of this page.
