I have been struggling for about
a year and a half on and off with symptoms that could have multiple causes but this seems like a good place to start. Maybe you veterans could give me some advice. I have had really bad joint pain along with fatigue, weakness, headaches (several migraines lately), I am cold all the time, can't remember names and sometimes hard to spit out the word I am trying to think of - simple words. I have noticed balance issues over this time also. My vision suddenly got worse last year about
this time - in a short period of time and I had to start wearing contacts and glasses again (had lasik 8 years ago). I can tell that my vision is worse than it was a year ago but I haven't been back to get it checked again. My eyes are dry and wearing contacts for any length of time is bothersome. I was to the doctor last year and was told that I was fine other than lacking vitamin D so he gave me supplements for that. Hard to believe since I eat cheese (more than I should) and drink milk all the time. I gradually started feeling better but now it is back with a vengance. My GP thinks it could be fibro but I don't have any of the tender points. I have an appointment with a neurologist on Friday. What questions should I ask? Did I mention that I have had IBS since I was 14? Does this sound similar to anything that you have experienced? The only thing that ever tingles and is numb is my left hand - assumed it was a pinched nerve and went to the chiropractor - it eventually got better but not until after I quit going there. It seems to be coming back again and I have weakness along with it. Any advice? I am nervous and frustrated all at the same time.
I forgot to mention that I am now starting to get muscle twitches in my legs - sometimes it seems like my whole body kind of jumps. Happening a couple of times a day - nothing painful but just a new oddity for me to relate.
