I'm a newbie to this board, although a long timer at Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE). Since Lynch is hereditary, and my dad's family is Old Colony Founder family for the mutation, I'm fortunate that I've been able to have great docs and good care, somewhat proactively.
I have an IRA scheduled for 11/25. I have asked my husband to be sure they don't put me in the room I was in for cardiac stuff -- there was a trap door in the ceiling, and I was SURE Willem Defoe lived up there VIEW IMAGE. Enough stress just being in the hospital.
Anyway, if anyone has suggestions or had IRA experience, I would love to hear about it. I'm an info junky so I do better the more I know.
We have great hospitals and docs here in NC, and my genetic testing was very helpful in making good choices.
