Hi there, absolutely - a film over the eyes does describe it. I had optic neuritis back in feb of 2004 - the doctor said that it was just nerve problem - ummmmm - yes.....I had double vision for two or three weeks, but went away. That would have been the start of all the MS stuff that I would learn three years later.......now from time to time I have problems focussing, I am quite light sensative, and sometimes it is just blurring like as you said, a film over my eyes. I find that it seems to come when I am too tired, and does go away when I take the time to lay down and nap - when ever that is possible....
It seems that most of my symptoms all flair when I am fatigued, which I now understand - and at first, including the vision thing, when it happened, I got panicky too - but now that I understand - the panic does not seem to creep up on me like before.....
As I once posted, I thought MS was a disorder that effected mobility only - man was I out of touch - now I under stand it to be more of a brain disorder than anything else, that effects mood, anxiety, depression, vision, balance, and heaven knows what else......
In addition to the copaxone that I take, I also take ativan - which is primarily used for anxiety. It does target the CNS, and acts as a muscle relaxant, so when I get the vision thing going on, or that dizzy, head fog feeling that does not go away with rest, etc etc...I pop one of these pills and it does take away alot of these symptoms.....besides it relaxes me too, which has been a good thing...
