Hello everyone,

I am a member of the Breast Cancer Board and I have found much needed support over the years from people that actually are experiencing the disease.  I came to this board because my daughter has been ill for several months now and no one has been able to diagnose the problem.  A new doctor last week ordered an MRI because of some neuro concerns that she has complained about for some time.  He has been the only internist to actually listen to her and take action.  That was a blessed day.  Some of the posts from your board members has cleared some concerns up and I have to say that I always trust the first line affected.  She has the MRI today with results coming, hopefully, Friday.  I just want to say thank you for being here.  It is a tremendous help and I feel in control again.

Hey Candy,

I am glad to hear you are finding great support on HW.  I wish your daughter the best of luck in her quest for answers.  I am so glad she has an internist who is supportive.  Please let us know how she is doing and what she learns.

Good luck to you and your precious daughter! Let's hope everything turns out for the better!

You are right, getting a doctor who will actually listen to what you are saying is so very important! I went through 5 doctors who all just wanted my money and didn't really want to take the time to listen to me until I met a doctor here in my hometown that was an intern at the time and he scheduled me to see a Neurologist because he thought that I may have had MS. His decision was so important that I still see him about other things.  Also, he is so very nice to me and my wife that it really makes a difference.

Thank you so much for your responses.  I knew I would find support here and the whole story.  My daughter had an MRI Wednesday and the Doctor called with results yesterday.  They found 5 white spots on the frontal lobe and he has referred her to a neurologist.  That Doctor cannot see her until May 4th, so we are back in the hurry up and wait mode.  I know that the white spots can indicate several things so we need to be patient.  Thank you again and I will stay in touch.
