So I had ON in Feb. The doc said the pain should be gone w/in 12 weeks. Well here we are 12 weeks later and i still feel like I have brain freeze behind my left eye.

I'm just wondering if those of you who have had ON did you have long lasting pain?  Any  info would be great!

I am so sorry you are still having pain. I have never had ON so I can't answer your question.  I just wanted to offer some support.  Talk to that doctor.  I hope you are feeling better soon.  Take care.

Hey,
I also had ON in Feb. I got into the hospital and started on the Steroids. I had that horrible pain. The inflammation is what was causing the pain in my eye. After about a week or two I was almost fine. I still don't have all of my vision back though. The dr. says I probably won't. I hope this helps.

It may take awhile for the pain to go.  I have had about 4 bouts of ON.  My vision has some damage, more in my right eye then left, but I am now colour blind too.

that was the first symptom of MS i had i took a little over 6 weeks to go away on its own the second relapse I had was again ON but this time way worse and the doc put me on steroids to help it go away faster. if it is going on this long i would go back to the dr or even the ER thats how i got the ball rolling the second time
