I have not been diagnosed......waiting for app't with neorologist...........

Yesterday, had what I suspect is a "hug" for almost all day.........I've had it off and on for awhile ......yesterday's  was very incomfortable.  I woke up this am. with a cold and I've had a few small coughs.........I felt like I was getting electricuited thru my ribs to my feet when I did cough.

Anyone have this sensation?

i have the electric kinda feeling without the pain. mine is like i have a tuning fork perm imbedded in my gut n when i cough it spasms like im gettin zapped.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have been on the lupus forum.

I have been having symptoms that were not exactly coming up lupus, that is why I have been reading some of ya'lls post.

On the electric thing, I thought this was odd but after reading this I'll be asking my rheumy about it tommorrow. I have waited 5 months now for this appt, so I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

The other day I was talking to my mother, she's my support, and I started twinging she asked me what was wrong and I told her about the elec shocks that I had been having. This time they were hitting me on my left upper side, just below my armpit. The only way I could descibe it to her was that it was like someone had a voodoo doll of me and touching me with a tazar gun.

I've noticed other signs of MS also. I went to a ENT dr and he ran a test and it was Meinere's, put me on fluid pills. The dizzyness and pressure are gone for my head, but I still am losing my balance to the point that I get very upset. I used to be so hyper and could outwork anyone, now I can bearly even clean 2 rooms in my house. UGH!!! cry

By "twinging" do you mean twitching?  It sounds like you are also suffering from fatigue which could be considered an MS symptom.  The problem is that MS shares symptoms with dozens of other illnesses and disordeers.  If you suspect you have MS, you will need to make an appointment with a neurologist and hopefully an MS specialist.  An MRI is typically the first test that is ordered if a neurologist suspects MS.  A neurologist will check for abnormal reflexes and responses to a neurological exam.  If he/she suspects central nervous system involvement, then that MRI will be next.  Good luck and keep us posted.

No, it wasn't like twitching. More like when you get poked with something sharp.

I have felt these in the very top of my head and in my feet. I also get these pains in my left foot that I can best describe is that someone has stomped on my foot and broke every bone in there. Very difficult to walk when this happens.

Well, I go to my rheumy tommorrow, and I have pics and my journal of my symptoms. Also went by the hospital and p/u the MRI's that I had done in the last year.

So, hopefully I can find out what is going on with me. I think the worst part about is knowing something is wrong with me but no diagnoses yet.
