Is the T 1.5 really a bad MRI machine?

My Neurologist has ordered an MRI but at a hospital that only has the T 1.5 MRI machines and i have read on here that they a are really no good at showing early MS signs, is this true? He will not send me to another hospital that has a better MRI machine even after me requesting this. Should I go to another Neurologist that is associated with a better hospital?

He was very upset with me and said that their machines were just fine, urghhh.

I was diagnosed on a Tesla 1.5.  I had just two small brain lesions the first time I was given an MRI.  I eventually had my spine checked and there was a lesion there as well.  I have been told by an outstanding neuro at the UCLA MS clinic that the maching doing my imaging was outstanding.

She said it has a lot to do with care of the magnets.

Thank you Gretchen, I feel as if I am going through the ringer right now and trying desperately to cover all of my bases to get the correct answer. I know you guys have all been through this so I thank you again for your support. I just want to know what all of these horrible symptoms are.
