Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum stuff. I was diagnoses with MS 2006. Recently (past few months) I have been having bouts of nausea and they seem to come on out of nowhere it's to the point now that i am taking gravol like they are candy. I was just wondering if there is anybody else out there that may have experience with this or if maybe it is an underlying thing and not related to MS at all. Thank you in advance for any insight you can give on this

Hi Kryss! I am new to the boards as well. I too have had problems with chronic nausea, especially in the past 6 months (I was diagnosed with MS in 2008). After lots of GI testing, it's supposedly related to acid reflux disease. I have taken many, many acid reflux medications to no avail. So, on March 30th I am going to have lap nissen surgery done to strengthen my lower esophageal muscle. I was also wondering if this muscle weakness could be attributed to MS.

I have never had an GI testing done I do know that i do suffer from heartburn quite often but not near as often as the nausea. I have no idea if MS would or does affect the esophageal muscle, something to read up I guess. So much information I tell ya it confusing sometimes

Hi new members,
I've been dx. with m.s. since 2002. I have reflux issues also(among other things). My G.I. doctor
said it is caused by m.s. My m.s. specialist said it isn't! My G.I. doctor prescribed 30 mg.
baclofen-a very low dose. It seemed to make me feel better. I am on Nexium also. G.I. doctor said I have this issue because I have a spasm of the esophagus! My m.s. doctor was intrigued and said
that maybe he has something!-Who knows!
