about 4 weeks ago while taking a nap on my couch i had a charlie horse from hell......in my right leg........i didnt think too much about it at the time because i had worked out my legs that day.However, since that day i began to have a tightness in my legs......and occasional tingling in my feet with one electrical shock in my left toe one night..This week my legs feel tired and week and i had a cramp behind my leg for about one hour while working but it went away also during this period i ve been urinating more frequently but fortunately it hasnt woke me up at night ...Today i feel pain in my legs and these symptoms seem to be getting worse by the day.....I had my yearly physical last week and told my doctor about my leg cramp and he brushed it off as maybe a chemical probelm.i havent got my lab work back and at the time it wasnt that bad.....but now im getting real nervous it might be ms or worse als......i dont have any vision issues as im 46 and still see 20/20 last checked .....my concerns are 1.does this sound like ms 2. if so will i be able to still work im a fedex driver im afraid i wont be able to take care of my family.......3.is there any hope that the symptoms will subside im parnoid im gonna become disabled...4. are there any drugs that will allow be to continue my active lifestyle.......would love to hear from some people who are successfully coping with ms and how their quality of life is inspite of living with this disease........thx for your patience......

I can't help u because I am looking for similar answers.

i am getting pretty severe electrical shocks down my legs as well as a lot of muscle thumping but if i remember correctly this occured during the beginning of my journey with lyme disease so maybe it is an old symptome reoccurence

if u work for fed ex, I would think u have insurance. I would go see my dr. who would then refer u possibly to a neurologist and it might just put all of your fears to rest, which we will pray for!! If not i believe caught early there is a drug that can arrest progression. Good luck!

There is no stopping MS.  Even if caught early and treated.  This is a common misunderstanding.  Even the very "best" treatments can only slow down disease progression.  And they cost between three and ten thousand dollars each month.

Mr. Tingles, I think you are jumping the gun a bit.  Please see a doctor.

thx for your reply gretchen, im joining to see my gp next week and get the ball rolling on my symptoms...which have not subsided any...i feel like i spend half my day on the toilet..and these leg cramps and feet probelms are driving me nuts.......thx for the support and best of wishes too you ............

i would go see a neurologist, have them check for lesions. I mean there really is a way to be 100% sure. I am only 20, and have it. So I believe the earlier the better. Good luck to you.
