I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my feet and legs. Sometimes one, sometimes both, and often it creeps up my legs. I always have the pins and needle, or numb, how ever you may describe it mostly up to my waist. The burning has just started in my feet and legs and I was wondering if this could be related to my MS?

That is how my legs feel. Up to my knees now. Used to be up to my thighs. I saw an electric acupuncturist and it helped. I can wiggle my toes.

I find that the burning is DIRECTLY related to stress. I'm a middle school teacher. CRAZY stressful! Finished my master's degree, changed jobs, but now I am dealing with a VERY warm office. Heat intolerance stinks!

Also, as I put on your other post. I get the burny legs related to diet as well. Stress more, but diet also.

I have been thinking about your question awhile ago about diet - Caffenine and chocolate are things to stay away from also. I don't drink coffee but who can realistically give up chocolate?! I used to be a lot better at not partaking and when I indulge - I FEEL it.

Did I tell you it take L-lysine? That helps as well.

Also processed foods can be bad for me as well. I try to stick to a raw food diet as much as I can.

Im having the same issues with my feet, they burn really bad.. I have been to my PCM and he has ordered a CT and has come back normal, He sent me to a Nuero and that doc has ordered a MRI, but I have to wait til March. Im scared cause along with the burning I have numbness and tingling in my face, and feet and now my tongue. Hope you get some answers, Kepp me posted!

I have had the same symptoms in the past few years and the Drs. decided it was peripheral neuropathy. The tingling burning up from the feet and stops mid thigh or sometimes hits the waist. They had me try Ampyra and it has helped me very much. I can walk much better and I am not as clumsy as I once was. Now my whole left side has lost about 50% of my strength, and I am starting to have issues lifting my left leg up to get dressed or to walk(I stumple a lot and sometimes walk as if I had been aon a 3 day binge).

I suffer from the burning sensations in my legs & feet usually at night. Interesting someone said chocolate was bad. I MUST slow down on that. I dont get burning always just at times. I usually sleep with my feet out of the doona. My right side is a lot weaker than my left side. I cant use my cane anymore as my right arm gets too weak. I have to get some mobility aid that isnt dependant on my arms to move. Does anyone have any ideas?
