Hellooooooooo is there anybody there?

Looking to chat & possibly Mt people recently Diagnoised In the Chelmsford Area.

Must have a sence of humour, don't worry "I know it's not a date site"........lol tongue I'm more than happy with My Partner.

I have tried MS Mtg's but was scared off, maybe I wasn't ready then.

This is a Lonley Disease!! How do you know what is acceptable on the pain level?

Really would like some one to talk to.

I'm a long way from your area, but have discovered that chatting with people about this crazy disease is really cool. It's been really nice to discover that I'm not alone, I'm not losing my mind, and the things I'm fighting with are relatively common to people with MS. - AND, you are right - it is a lonely disease. It's often hard to describe to someone why you can't say what you are trying to say when you are trying to say it - or explain to people that you're not being lazy, your body just isn't cooperating. This website has been really beneficial to me in many ways. I've spent some time simply browsing through the site, and today, decided to join. But, just from reading what others have posted, I know there is a whole world of MSers out there - a whole world of people who understand things even when you can't describe them yourself.

MSKid you are right , finding another mser who understands what your are talking about can be a great help . Sometimes its hard to find the right words .

Welcome to HealingWell, Lou, MSKid and GentleRain.  I am not a moderator on this forum, nor do I have MS but I wanted to welcome all of you to HealingWell.  The MS Forum doesn't have a moderator, so if one of you is interested, you can contact the administrator by email.  Write to him: [email protected]. 

In the meantime, you all can chat in real time here in our Chat Room by signing on as you did to post here and then clicking "Chat" above.  You can then choose a "room" (which would be MS) - and I believe you have to sign in again.  This is a precaution because only members can be in the room chatting.  Anyway, if you come back and arrange a day and time together, you can chat away here.

I hope this helps you in some way.  It's good to have contact with others.

not easy have had RRMS since 1999. I have been hospitalized twice for two bad attacks. I just gave up my job not b/c of the MS but b/c of the crohns I was diagnosed with a year ago. I taught nursing at a local college. You are up in front of a group of students and wham! your thaughts are gone out of your head and you are fighting yourself to get them back.

Thanks for the welcome , I know im new here but have years of experience in MS and a few other things . I did email and offer myself as a moderator as I feelI have a lot to offer in time and experience .
Hello to all the other MSers I hope we will chat soon .
My Brother in law died last week and I feel awful that I have not been to see my sister but she does understand . So this morning its of I go having adjusted my water tablets to go out LOL
So now walk the dogs first then off I go see you all this afternoon .

I have had MS for about 13 years now. I live in Ohio now, I have lived in Nevada and Arizona. I am one MSer' that does very well in the heat but when it is cold, no go, and snow... hahahaha that's when more canes, wheelchairs and a lot more help comes in. It's very hard to talk to someone who has no idea that you can not control your own body heat, let alone act the way I do when it is hot outside. Here, there is always someone here for ya :-)

Gentlerain, I'm really sorry about your brother-in-law.  I hope the family is doing ok at this point. 

Yes, HealingWell is looking for a moderator (or two??) for MS here.  I would encourage you two to be active in posting here and then contacting Peter (again) after a little time to tell him of your interest in being a mod.

My brother was DX with crohns 2 weeks after his birthday. Then on his birthday, we lost his insurance :-( I asked my Neuro. if it was related to My MS, he said that there is no way to tell... I'm interested in knowing what you think?

Hi, I just replied to your LDN question. I will add here that there has been a clinical trial on the use of LDN for Crohn's. You can learn more about it on the LDN homepage that I talked about in my other post...

Please! If you have MS or another autoimmune condition, check out my post on LDN. My niece with MS uses it and got her life back!
