Hi there, yes congrats... you have brought back old memories - when I first started Copaxone back in 2007. After awhile it becomes so second nature, I even forget some night if I took my shot or not - gees...
I still inject into all areas - arms, legs, stomach, and yes, the stomach is my least favorite.
Couple fo tricks I learned over the years...
- make sure the needle is going in straight up and down
- never inject when the syringe is cold - it will burrrrrrrrn!!!
- if you have resistance when attempting to push the plunger down (mostly for those who do not use the injector) pull out and choose a different location. If you push the plunger down with resistance, the area being injected is going to rebel, and yes its gonna hurt.
A secret to your success, as told to me by my Neurologist - do not miss a day - inject every day (every other day with the new Copaxone coming out) and you should experience benefits of taking the Copaxone.
Have a great day,
Gary
