Anyone else out there have this?? A month ago I started seeing lots of floaters in my left eye & a periodic flash way out in my left peripheral vision. Went to regular eye dr & was told my vitreous lining was detaching...says not uncommon for someone nearsighted but thought was happening early for my age (46). Went back for my follow up appt with him Wednesday & he decided to send me to a retinal specialist because thought he saw very small tear in my retinal lining along with an unusual high amount of floaters in that eye. So I get call later that day & specialist wants to see me next morning..so go yesterday & she tells me I have pars planitis in both eyes due to my MS. While at the visit, she did laser surgery on both of my eyes to repair the tear in the left eye (was very small & not all way through) & to repair where vitreous was still attached & pulling hard/tearing....my right eye doing this also (I was unaware) & was actually worse than my left. Took about 10 minutes with laser on each eye. I go back in 2 months but she assured me she could do more laser surgery if necessary (she doesn't think will need to) & said if the floaters began bothering me or affecting my vision we could do steroid drops or steroid injection to help get rid of them. Anyone else out there have this eye problem? My optic nerve is fine--she checked it also. She made this sound very treatable, but sounds like I will also be seeing a lot of her from now on LOL.
