I have had this my whole life. I don't feel cold during the day, but for some reason I sweat my butt off when I sleep. I often wake up drenched in sweat and will even have to change the bed sheets. It doesn't seem to have any effect on my symptoms however. Now if I don't get enough sleep, then yes--my symptoms do worsen. But as long as I get back to sleep, my symptoms stay the same. I wish I had a cure for you--I know how much this sucks. The only thing that seems to work at all for me is to take a cocktail of sleeping meds. I'm on Seroquel (which helps me sleep), I also take two Tylenol PMs and two Benadryl every night. Since I've started that, I have slept better and the sweating has lessened too. I was taking Ambien (which did seem to work okay), but he Seroquel works better for me--plus it isn't as addictive as Ambien.
