Visual Disturbances + more

Hi all, new here and first post. I have been unwell the last 8 years, gradually becoming more sick over the last 2. I have become almost bed bound because my symptoms are very dibilitating. I have had a whole host of tests from doctors and nothing is ever found. My symptoms are many but the most troublesome are : extreme dizziness/lighthead (can no longer drive, lying flat no longer relieves), extreme brain fog (can't think, process), neck tightness/pain, benign pvcs, numb lips, legs (from knee to ankle), tingling fingers and toes, ortho static issues, low blood pressure, anxiety attacks (from symptoms), strange mental sensations hard to describe, and lots of visual problems. I'm attaching picture I made to show what I'm experiencing visually. I see tons of electric blue or silver dots throughout the day. They look as bright as the christmas lights in the photo but can be blue or silver. Happens at any time: sitting, standing, eyes closed, dark, light, indoors, outside, etc. Does anyone else see these dots with this much frequency? Like I've said, have had heart tests, MR I (no contrSt), blood work, eye tests, etc....all negative. I feel like I'm slowly dying. Maybe this unusual symptom could help with diagnosis.? Someone out there has to have experienced this also. Dr's don't know what's going on or don't believe me. I'm not anxious or depressed, I know there's something not right going on in my body-I don't know what it is. Thanks for listening and for your help in advance. VIEW IMAGE

Thanks for the kind response. Yes I see the dots all the time. And no, my doctor has not yet been able to identify the cause of my dizziness. It has just recently (over the last 2 months) gotten so bad that I can not drive or sit/stand up for very long. I spend most of my time in bed because of the lightheadedness. Sometimes I will try to push myself, because I have kids to tend to or dishes to do. I end up feeling very fried, pupils get huge, and I HAVE to lay down or I feel as if I will lose consciousness. It is pretty awful. I will try to post in the Lyme Board-I have wondered about that. Thank you again.

Have you been to an eye specialist for the dots? I have pars planitis in both eyes (caused from the MS). I see a flash of white light in the outer corner of my left eye constantly---the lining of my eye is trying to pull free--the retinal specialist has lasered it in several spots to try and keep it holding tight, but may still pull free. I also have the dizziness/floating feeling off & on--normally after walking a good distance. I think it gets worse just as my ms numbness does with exercise. I have several floaters in both eyes that bother me off & on...usually on cloudy days I feel like I can see them all. Good luck to you!!!

I just happened to stumble on this thread and I am glad I did. I realize it' a few weeks old -- but I have visual disturbances like you --- Bright lights like Christmas lights is a perfect description -- except the ones I see are dark purple / indigo type colour. In the "New Age" spirituality world - it is said those are your angels and spirit guides. I'm gonna go with that, because doctors have already labeled me crazy lol :) ;)

Jokes aside, I am sorry for what you are going through. I have GERD and anxiety which has turned my world upside down. I've also had nagging thoughts about having MS because for 2 years, long before my GERD and anxiety diagnosis, I have experienced numbness in my legs, my finger tips and arms (usually my left side), but just recently started feeling the right side. I also get lots of tension headaches too. It's freaking me out.

I've pushed for an MRI -- although my doctor thinks I've created this with my anxiety -- she finally ordered the MRI (which I am still waiting to do) when I went to my massage therapist and she touched my spine and half my body went numb.

Anyway, please keep us posted. I wish you luck in finding your answers and wellness overall.

UPDATE: My Lyme Western blot came back negative. Still going in for an MRI the 28th to double check for MS. Turns out I have intestinal parasites!!, H. Pylori infection, and beginning stages of rheumatoid arthritis. The dr thinks the parasites are causing the inflammation and that once they're gone, the joint pain will go away as well. She was like, "God knows how long you've had these things in you making you sick!?! " I recommend everyone get checked for parasites! Do some reading on them. They cause a whole range of problems and they think they affect up to 90% of Americans. Most Drs don't think to check for them and tests can be unreliable. I start Flagyl today for 20 days and then we will see how things are. If after 20 days they're still there, will try Vermox I believe is what she said. Just thought I'd let everyone know. I've been so unwell and hopeless for so long. I am relieved that I have an answer to why I've been so sick!

I have h pylori as well as intestinal worms. Lots of them. Have been evacuating hundreds since starting antiparasitic.

Yes! Feeling tons better already and I'm only on the second day of medication.
