Hello to all,

 

     The last time I posted........sorry can't remember if I posted last time.  Any how to refresh, I saw a Infectious Disease Specialist (IDS), He took lots of blood.  The other day, my hubby called rescue because he would talk to me and I would fall asleep on him.  I told him I was just tired, but he said I had been sleeping for 2 days, and he was concerned.  So, at the er, the doc did a drug screen, obviously found nothing, and said I was facking all my symptoms.  He even sent a letter to my pcp stating so.  I'm so sick of be look at as a psych case.  So anyhow, I go back to see the IDS tomorrow to find out test results.  Hubby going with me.  I dont know how much more I can take of this.  This meaning tests with nothing.  Alls I have this far is 8 oligoclonal bands.  Thats not much to go on.  If this continues, im afraid i will be a psych case.  Oh by the way, the nurse at er infiltrated my IV and caused an infection in my arm....   Like I needed that.  Symptoms as of this AM....Headache (x4days), extra sensitive feeling in (r) arm w/ pins and needles, gait issues (I feel like im a nascar, go fast turn left), and the fatigue.  So I will post went I come back from the big city.  You all take care.

Hi Bonnie,

Bless your heart! That ER doc is a quack, don't give his comments a second thought. It angers me when doctors say it's all in our heads, how can they possibly know that. Too bad we can't switch bodies with some of these people, then they would think twice! So sorry you are going through this sad It can be hard not knowing what is wrong, but eventually things will show up. You can get through this, and we'll all be here to support you during the process.

Wow..i'm sorry. I agree with Kimber, some people can be so thoughtless. If they only had to live with these kinds of symptoms for just a day they'd see it all so differently. I understand about u'r sleeping. I'm just coming out of a 'coma' myself. Of course i've been running on fumes for two weeks, but once i stopped and took time to just sit and do nothing, i began to sleep and i slept for four days almost non-stop. That's sleeping soundly thru the nights as well. I don't know if that's a symptom or not, but this isn't the first time i've done it since all my junk started so i'd say it has to be related. I imagine u'rs is too. Don't let that er doc get to u. I'll be thinkin of u and sending up prayers for u as u see the doc and look forward to hearing how it all went.

Hello,

Well, It is not a festoring infection. All those expensive tests have come back normal or negative. I did find out, that sometime in the past I have had Mono, and been exposed to some weird stain of virus. Also found out I have never had chicken pox, nor have I ever been vaccinated. The IDS said a dedicated neuro would not give up on the MS diagnoses. He told me to stand up to be heard, don't give up. He said there is an underlying neurological condition and he is going to send a letter to my neuro stating so. He told me I need a neuro I can trust, and be comfortable with. So....I go back to my neuro on the 5th. Eventually we will get to the bottom of this. I know in my heart this is not in my head, there is something wrong and I wont let it go till I find out what is wrong. Thank you all for yoursupport..You people are the best. Without you being there I may have lost my mind months ago.

Bonnie,

I'm so glad your IDD told you to not give up.  I think when we have something wrong we know it and we have to be persistant and eventually the right doc will come along or the old ones will "hear" us.  I have been through that over and over again the last 16 years of my life!

 

Take good care and keep us posted on what you find out!  :-)
