I WAS JUST PERSCRIBED PROVIGIL,I WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME INFORMATION FROM ANYONE WHO IS TAKING OR MAY HAVE TAKIN THIS MED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW OF ANY SIDE EFFECTS YOU MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED AND IF IT HELPED WITH YOUR FATIGUE. ANY ADVICE OR INFORMATION I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE.THANKS FOR YOUR TIME !

i took it and i works good without the anphetamines in it...there are not alot of side effects that i noticed there are some mild ones...like not being very hungry and ur urine smells very strongly but other than that it was not problem and very helpful with the cf...hope this helps

I took Provigil for only one week because insurance didn't cover it but it was wonderful. I didn't notice any side effects other than I was more aware of my physical exhastion and muscle fatigue. However, I did stay awake. It keeps you awake for 12-15 hours so I would take it at about 10 am so that I was guarnteed to stay awake until 10 pm.

Hi Life,

Mike has been taking Provigil for fatigue for close to six years now. He doesn't really have any side effects with it, but the only problem he has is it seems to lose its effectiveness over a period of time so he just alternates Ritalin in when that happens and switches back. It really does a wonderful job with fatigue for him, he takes it twice a day at 6am and 2pm, any later and he has trouble sleeping. I wish you luck and hope it helps!

Hey Life,

I loved my provigil, but unfortunatly my insurance didn't cover it and I can't afford $250 a month just for one med. I didn't have any side affects, but I think my tolerance for all meds so it only gave me a boost in energy for about 8 hours.

No side effects at all on this end....but the price can be a kicker....

 

Does not restore energy pre-MS, but it sure does help  me...

I just went to pick up my Provigil... apparently it's called alertec in Canada.. and is covered under my work benefits... I had to pay $7 for 2 weeks worth.  Woo-Hoo!! I was worried as my bfriend is also on disability and $200 is alot for us.

Happy Dance! yeah :-)
