Hello all,

I was just wodering if any of you experience spasms in your back, in towards the spine that radiates up into the neck area and causes a tremendous headache.....I have had this the last few days and take baclofen on a daily basis, but has gave me no relief with this little episode. Any advice I would really appreciate. Hope you all are well and  God bless.Thanks

Awwwww Life,

HUGS!  I have pain in my back and neck and the doc thinks my neck pain is probably from the mS but the baclofen doesn't help it.  I hope you get relief soon.

I have another neurodegenerative disease – similar to MS, and also suffer from debilitating back, neck and muscle spasms. Baclofen was the only thing that helps me – but the problem was the dose. I did not start seeing relief until I hit 100 mg per day. At 120 mg, I was doing much better, but the side effects started getting worse then the spasms. I had a Baclofen pump implanted last week. Because the medication is delivered intrathecal, you do not need large doses to cross that blood brain barrier. I now take less then 1/100 of what I was taking before. This has been a miracle for me. I now can move pain free. I feel like the clock move back several years. This is the very best thing that has happened to me. Baclofen was the key – but the secret was the dose and delivery system.

Thanks for the ((hugs)) here lately I have needed many of them.

WEll I just got home from the ER and the baclofen pump was mentioned,funny that you post about your experience with that.I am just not sure that I would want to go with such drastic measures like a pump yet.

When I first started the baclofen it did wonders and worked really well Although, these last couple of days I may as well be eating skittles they are not helping at all with the spasms.My nero currently has me on 25mg three times a day.

I would love to talk to you more about your experience with the baclofen pump maybe we could get together one day and discuss your experience further in detail.This may help me determine if the pump would be something I would want to do or not.I am just so lost with all I have been thru lately, and feel decisions are just over whelming for me right now.

Just peeking my head in here to let u know i'm praying for u and hoping for some relief for u very soon. As u prob know, i don't have any relative information pertaining to u'r post, but wanted to let u know i saw it and am thinking of u. Take really good care of u'rself.

Good luck on whatever you decide to try and I hope you find some relief soon. Mike has back and neck pain as well and baclophen doesn't seem to help him much either. His neuro also suggested the pump, but he's not willing to try it just yet. Wish I had some advice for you, just wanted to say I'm thinking about you and hope you feel better soon.
