Sativex

Hey Mortisha!

I'm sorry, no experience with Sativex, but i see u'r having lots of leg pain? I have lots of leg pain too!! I'm currently dealing with nerve pain in almost every part and have been using Neurontin, but thinking of trying something different or maybe changing the way i'm using it for improved performance. What meds have u tried?? Some have suggested Lyrica to me. Maybe take a look at my thread "Nerve Pain" and see what some of the other suggestions have been. Best wishes to u on this. I do know how bad this can be!

Sativex is an oromucosal (mouth) spray developed by the UK company GW Pharmaceuticals for multiple sclerosis patients, who can use it to alleviate neuropathic pain and spasticity. Sativex is distinct from all other pharmaceutically produced cannabinoids currently available because it is derived from botanical material, rather than a solely synthetic process. Sativex is a pharmaceutical product standardised in composition, formulation, and dose. Its principal active cannabinoid components are the cannabinoids: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). The product is formulated as an oromucosal spray which is administered by spraying into the mouth. Each spray of Sativex delivers a fixed dose of 2.7mg THC and 2.5mg CBD.

It can be bought in Canada, but confiscated at the border.

   I'm sorry you are in such pain and the meds you've tried don't seem to work for you.  My husband was in the same kind of situation when he was diagnosed, tried everything and nothing worked. After exhausting everything she would prescribe his doctor ended up sending him to a pain management clinic and he finally got some relief.   Might be worth a try for you as well.
