So, after having been diagnosed for several months now, I have yet to tell my parents. We are geographically separated (which I recommend to everyone) and I am going back to the shire in a few weeks for the first time in nearly a year. My parents can be horribly pessimistic and I believe the only MS patient they know has a very aggressive case and was in a wheelchair within a couple years after diagnosis.
So I have a challenge, let them know about my condition, but leave them with an optimistic though fair prognosis for what so far appears to be a mild/moderate case of ms.
I'm following my first inclination to tell them in person, so they can see that I am still mobile and as fit as ever; any other suggestions?
thanks (this is an awesome forum!)
