Hi. I don't believe I have MS even though I was sent to a neurologist for it many years ago as they thought I exhibited some signs of it. I always have tingling in my hands and fingers and legs, but I work on a computer daily also. But the main things they felt exhibited possible symptoms of MS involved some of the tests they did. They had me hold my arms out to the side and bring my index finger to my nose one at a time using both arms and as my finger approached my nose it shook every time and also some test they did on the underside of my feet where they took something and scraped it down the length of my foot and all of my toes curled under except my big toe and it went upward. I had a MRI, think they just did one of the brain. Don't remember if they saw any myelin sheaths or lesions or not, it's been so long ago. But the main thing is, I found out Monday night my half sister has MS. She had a MRI on her brain and spine and myelin lesions showed up on both. Is that something that can be hereditary? No one in our side of the family on our mother's side has that? There is diabetes and Alzheimers but that is all. I don't know about
my father's side as I am adopted. I noticed someone mentioned shock sensations to the brain in another thread. What do they mean by that? There was another time that I was brushing my hair and my hand quit working and
opened and the brush fell to the floor and no matter how I tried to pick it up I could not close my hand back around it. Wondering if that could have been a carpal tunnel problem as I have had that no more. And I think all of this stuff I had done was around 10 years ago if not longer.
What are all the symptoms of MS? Thanks. At Wit's End
