I noticed last evening while washing dishes that every time I would look down into the sink, my left foot, in the arch would buzz.  I have had for the last 6 years experienced this weird thing when I am sitting, like for instance, on a step with my legs on the step in front of me, if I lean my upper body forward, I will get a tingly, bug crawling sensation, but whats really weird is if I take and pull my shirt away from my back when this happens, its gone.  Weird!!!  I did have a cervical MRI done last Fall, but it was in an open MRI with no contrast, it showed a bulging disk at C-3, no cord impingement or nothing bad, everything that I have read says this is characteristic for MS.  Does this sound like MS to any of you?  My burning has calmed down a good bit, but still getting little stings here and there.  I have had all kinds of weird stuff going on for 8 years now, would it have shown on an MRI by now?  Thanks for your thoughts!!!

While it certainly does appear in most folks with MS, it can occur for other reasons too, including spinal issues as well. Many of us with MS do experience it in the more typical pattern - bending our neck forward and getting the "zap" down our neck into our shoulder, and sometimes traveling down the side to the butt.

That pretty much is what I am going through.  I guess I'll have to wait and see what my neuro says on Friday.  She already said it wasn't MS, but I have read that it sometimes takes a while for lesions to show up, but its been 8 years with these symptoms already, and no lesions were ever detected.  My c-spine was done in a open MRI w/o contrast, maybe she will repeat this and maybe I'll ask her about doing the T-spine also, I never had this done.  Thanks again!!!

I'm sorry -- I don't remember -- have you also had a recent MRI of your brain?  Lesions are more apt to show up there than in/on the spine, if indeed you have MS. You might ask about that.

Yes, uppitycats, I had my first brain MRI last April 06, and another one this April 07.  My c-spine was last Fall.  The brain MRI were done both times in a closed MRI w and w/o contrast.  The only thing that showed was sinus infection, worst this past time.  Thanks!!
