I started a new thread for u so everyone could see u'r post today. I'm so sorry about u'r dx, but also so glad u'r out of limbo and can begin therapy and gain some control over this disease. Did the doc talk to u about any of the meds? Have u reviewed any of them or do u have any questions about them? Feel free ask anything u like or to just post and vent anytime u need. We're here for u and will do all we can to give u information or support. Take some time now to let it sink in friend and let us know how we can help u.

I am so sorry about the news of your diagnosis.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Will you be starting a med. therapy soon?  Let us know how you are.

Stopped taking Nortriptyline, which is sad, cause it worked. I could sleep. It put 24 pounds of fluid on me in 19 days. But with water pills and terminating the pill, I have lost 17 in 5 days.

I will also tell you guys what helps besides talking to you all..my music. I am in the choir at my church,and I write songs, but I can't write music or play anything,except harmonica. I listen to anything from Rock, Hard Rock,Old Jazz,Opera,Classical,Celtic Music,(Just wrote maybe my best song for any genre in this one)Americana(Roots music)Bluegrass Country Gospel..you name it..all except rap or hip hop..imho..that ain't music.

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I would also second what uppitycat said regarding your lawsuit. Make sure you are careful and understand anything you are asked to sign. I also hope you did some research regarding your attorney. Sorry to sound so cynical but ... I also live in Illinois -- Cental. I have been through Mt. Vernon when I used to visit my sister when she was working on her graduate degree at SIU.
