Hi everybody,

Saw a dermatologist today who was supposed to biopsy these stupid hives of mine.  Of course, they all went into hiding.  Last night I was almost going to the ER, my lips were so swollen that my ltlbrat called me a duck.  All I could say was quack, quack.  Anyway, he said to take antihistamines for three months and see if they go away again.  They are definately autoimmune, but which one, I don't know.  Well, I knew that without seeing him.  Whatever, now I wait to see if the neuro wants a nerve biopsy.

Good Luck With your hives......Hope they find out what is the cause.  I am sure it is miserable.

You cannot catch a break can you?!  I am sorry!!!

You need some answers!!  Try to keep the faith and stay assertive.  We will stay right here supporting you.  Hang in there.

Hi I hope you feel better soon. I had something like that a while back. They finally gave me Clarinex and it worked.

Boy....i'm so sorry! Seems u are just getting no where with these hives. I'm sure u've done all sorts of research, but i thought i'd just look and see what is out there. Maybe u've seen this stuff and it'll be of no use, but maybe not. Take good care my friend and please let us know how u are.

Thanks for the support everybody.  Rhonda, I appreciate the sites.  I have done research, but I'm not really good with a computer and hadn't seen those.

 

It is just so frustrating.  I wish I hadn't taken the antihistamine on Tuesday and had something to biopsy.  But I've had 3 skin biopsy's in the past on the rash and that didn't prove anything.  This limbo thing is almost as bad as being sick.  I even had ltlbrat take pics of the swollen lip when she was done laughing and calling me a duck to show the doc.  He said wow, that was really swollen.  Well, no duh Quack Quack.

 

Have to call the neuro and rheumy on Monday and see what we do now.

 

Thanks again for the support.  This board is my lifesaver.
