still more problems

Ok, I had a bunch of blood tests done Wednesday to check things out and  my pcp ordered a CT scan of my head with and without contrast.  They were unable to do the scan with contrast because they were afraid since I have had hives wtih contrast before and currently have them that my throat might  swell shut.  The technician said to not be surprised if they decide to order an MRI since I could not have it done with contrast.  I am HOPING they order the MRI.

Today I went school shopping with my 5th grader.  I was very forgetful and had to rely on her to help me remember.  I also was walking through the mall and my left leg from my hip to my toes felt all tingling like when your hand or foot falls asleep.   So if they do not say anything about the MRI I am going to ask them to order one and tell them about my problems from today. 

I am very irritable today from how horrible I have been feeling the past week or two and no answers at all and the difficulty I have with getting my doctor to order additional tests and stop telling me I need more anti-depressant meds.

I have not seen a neurologist.  It took me 2 years to get my pcp to give me the referral to go to an endocrinologist for my thyroid problem.  I don't know why he is so stubborn when it comes to referring me out to a specialist.  I keep praying and hoping as I am sure I could use a neurologist.

That is why I am so frustrated.  He continues to think all I need is anti-depressants.  Either increasing or changing to a different one.  This has been going on for almost 4 years.  I just want to know what is going on with me.
