bugs & stab

Have the ants crawling on my ms leg, but also on what used to be my "good" leg. the heat is to blame i suppose, but still not comfortable. yesterday had a major stabbing feelingon the ms leg.. felt like something stung me, but no sign of any bites. has anyone found the ants are able to turn vicious? a first for me. linda

yeah, i know, ants are one of the tangible short-circuits in the nerve chain, but never had the stab before. happened when i was standing up doing the prayers of the people sunday. difficult to balance on one leg, lean against pew, hold prayer book and retain some semblance of good episcopal composure! LOL!

yes, on cymbalta already. afraid to think, but could be ms is making a move. now on tramadol for the pain. just every so often i have had enough ms and go back to wondering why, WHY!!!???? can't do what i used to be able to accomplish. rather frightening. linda

Yes, the stabbing pain is nasty.  I have had the stinging beasties off and on for the last 10 years but they do not seem to predict an attack or a worsening of symptoms in fact almost the reverse!??  The last 18 months I have had terrible pain (beyond 10/10) lying, sitting, standing, walking and on the skin all from spasticity.  During this time when I was having my worst deterioration the stingers were relatively quiet.  Now, I have a baclofen pump which has given me miraculous relief from all that pain and I am feeling good again but the stingers are  back in my good leg & arm where they have never been before. I have found that rubbing them vigourously is the thing that helps the most.  I also feel that they might be related to allergies but have managed to prove that.  Hope you find relief!

Hi there, ants you say, well that is how I describe it too.....I get it along my forehead and sometimes down the sides of my face....it does not last long, but I find that I am always swiping at my face.....just one of those annoying this....
