Hi guys its me-again :)

With MS does muscle twitching usually happen in one area, say a leg or all over the entire body? What causes the twtiches?

In MS, muscle twitching usually occurs in an area where there is cooresponding demyelinating damage.  The twitching itself may come and go but it is usually in about the same place.  While muscle twitching does occur in MS patients, it is not at all even remotely diagnostic.  Way too many other things can cause twitching.  I once had an eyelid twitch that lasted for over four months (off and on but always in the same place).  My neuro said it could be MS but it could be something else.  She said most twitching is ideopathic or caused by stress.

Thank you, as always for your feedback. I really appreciate all the support you have given me.

It is interesting as my twitches have been everyday for almost 3 months, all over my body. I get it everywhere from my shoulders, chest, foot, hands, eye, bum. You name it, it has twitched> I had an EMG that did not show any issues which was a step in ruling out other things.

I don't want to step on any toes but have you looked into lyme disease at all? It mimics MS and ALS.
Just a thought.

I sure have. I had tests and tested pos on 1 band and in the middle on 2. I saw a lyme dr and she had more blood drawn, going back to see her in 2 wks for results etc...

Gosh, the thought ALS scared the heck out of me. I had an EMG which was fine thankfully. I guess the twitching for ALS comes in later stages....

it's a definite possibility! good luck to you. you said you have a lyme literate doctor? check out the lyme forums on healing well. very informative...

hmmm you sound like you may have a chronic form of neuro-lyme disease, with endocrine problems. Classic Late Lyme. I dont know your story but for some reason im getting a feeling u may be dealing with neurologic lyme disease with mulitiple organ disfunction, thyroid, etc.. I hope whatever it may be you will find the answer and get the correct treatment. god bless, brian

I have no clue what is wrong and drs dont know either. I have been going from being petrified I have ALS, to thinking MS, to thinking Lyme, back to paranoid about ALS etc etc

My right pinky finger has kinda gone numb again for 3 days on and off. Not totally numb but almost numb and its on and off throughout the day. My joint cracking is at an all time high right now.

All my blood work (thyroid etc) is fantastic. So I am lost. I just want an answer so I can stop wondering and get some sort of treatment.

I have but I tested pos on band 34 and IND on 31 and 41, one needs two I guess to be "positive" vs one. I did just get tested for coinfections too. Its like something is attacking my muscles, nervous system and joints....It is really scaring me and I feel utterly depressed

I would find a LLMD if I were you.  That is a doctor that is "lyme literate".  Lyme is not a disease that is easy to test for.  You can get a clinical diagnosis from a LLMD.  You need to post to "ticker" on the lyme board.  She can find a LLMD in your area. Go see a LLMD so you can at least rule out lyme.

Your symptoms, although some time ago, are exactly what I'm living with. My middle back is like a permanent bruise, I twitch all over and buzz. Xrays, ct's MRI's, bloods all clear. Did you ever get an answer? I would love to hear from you. I am 33 year old female and am consumed by this.

Any updates? These symptoms sound like me. They think I may have lyme too.
