Hi there, its been awahile again since I have been here! Just came back from San Francisco, and it was great..
I am not on Valium, but I am on Ativan, which is in the same family. For me it works wonderful. Since all of this MS stuff going on with me, anxiety has played a major part, so this does in fact settle me down, and helps my head feel better when I do so. I find that it takes away the foggy head feeling that I get, as well, it helps relieve the spasticity that I get in my neck and shoulders.
I have also found, under a doctors recommendation, that it helps when I get heart palps, etc...so I make sure that I alway have some on hand. When I leave the house, I check to see if I have my keys, wallet, oh and yes, my Ativan.
Yes it can be addictive, but this depends on the amount that you take and for how long. But at this stage of my life, I can deal with this, if in fact I am addicted. I know it sounds silly, but I do not know if I am or not...
Have a nice day
Gary
