It is extremely rare and difficult to get an MS diagnosis without lesions. Most doctors won't give that diagnosis. The disease name indicates the presence of lesions. On the rare occasion of a diagnosis of MS without lesions, that diagnosis is questioned if lesions don't show up within the next year or so. If you have a diagnosis of lyme, that can explain your symptoms. MS is a diagnosis of exclusion. Until you are considered clean and clear of lyme AND you have no lesions, negative lumbar puncture, then I can't imagine you receiving a diagnosis of MS.
