Okay, so here it is...
For quite awhile now I have been feeling...not right. I have been having very weird things happening to me and so I have (by the suggestion of my husband) been writing a journal of my symptoms. I have been having trouble with my extremities, it started out as them basically feeling like they had fallen asleep. I'm talking about my legs, arms, hands, and feet. Then after awhile it started to get worse and didn't matter whether or not I was standing or sitting or being active when this happened and it happened off and on, sometimes more often then other times.
Shortly after I started having eye twitches, it would always happen in one eye or the other, never both at the same time. This twitching would last a week or two at a time without letting up and then would disappear, sometimes not returning for a month or two. I never related this problem to the problem I had with my legs and stuff "falling asleep" on me.
Then I started feeling something else, when I would stand I would start feeling this warm sensation in my legs, sometimes one at a time, sometimes both at once. It has gotten worse, now it not only happens to my legs, but sometime my hands will get the sensation instead. It's kind of hard to describe... it's almost like a warm water feeling in my whole leg, sometimes just in my thigh. Have you ever had a huge mosquito bite that you scratch and then after awhile put your hand over it and it feels warm??? Well that is about how my legs feel but from the inside they feel warm, not the outside of my skin.
Then recently, I have begun having a pins and needles feeling that will just randomly happen in either my hands or bottoms of my feet or side of my feet. It feels like something jabs me with a safety pin!
Along with that, my eye twitches have worsened. A few times when my eye has begun to twitch (which is embarrassing and people notice it) not only will my eyeball twitch now, but my whole part of my forehead will feel like it's twitching right along with it!
The tingling and pins in my feet and arms and legs has been worse this past week and just the other day I was on the couch watching tv when my hand got the pins and needles feeling, (my right hand) and then my right eye started twitching at the same time and then my hand turned a purpleish tint. The same thing happened a few days later at work, my right hand again, but instead of purple it turned bright red and had the warm sensation that my legs get.
I always feel tired, I do not know if it is from what I have been experiencing with the symptoms I listed above or because I am anemic anyways. But I am always so tired these days. I would just lay down anywhere I am if I could, lay down and rest and sleep on the mall floor if that weren't considered weird to onlookers I would do it. I have no energy to shop, after about 10minutes of shopping I get worn out. My husband and I were at IHop last night and I was practically falling asleep.
My balance is off, I fall in the shower and at work a lot. We've had to take extra safety precautions in both places for me.
One last problem is my memory, I can never remember both big events or simple little things that I see, or was told, or read. By big events I mean, for example, I had a dream that my grandmother passed away and the next day I was rethinking the dream and told my father about how I don't like having dreams about family dying because what if it were to really happen. My father then had to remind me that my grandmother that I had dreamt about was ALREADY dead. I couldn't remember her passing away, or that my aunt now lives in what used to be her home. He had to remind me. How can someone just forget something like that???? It scared me that I did and broke my heart. I don't know if it was from being tired that my brain just wasn't thinking, or if somehow, my memory is faltering due to some illness?
My arms are also so weak. You know when you sit at the table and put your elbows on the table and maybe have your hand under your chin, or hold your phone in front of you to text someone while your elbows are on a table? Well, when I do that my arms get super weak and I can't hold them like that. Why would I not even be able to hold my cell phone in front of me while texting with my elbows on a table????
I'm looking for answers, experiences, and/or suggestions. What do you think is going on with my body? I know something isn't right with me! Yes, I know I need to see a doctor and I will, but at the current moment I do not have insurance. I am supposed to get it this month, mid June. Then I will go see a doctor, but in the meantime please tell me what you know or think! Thanks so much! By the way, I am 19 years old, I'm a female, and I have always had poor health. (Anemia, hypoglycemia, prolactinoma, breast fibroadenoma) but none of these conditions when taken care of would cause these symptoms except for the anemia and being constantly tired maybe.
