Has anyone ever been referred to a Neuropsychiatrist?

Hi Gang

At my last visit with my neuro, I thought he said he wanted me to see a neuro-psychologist, I agreed and didn't say anything, but I just got a referral letter in the mail today, and he has referred me to a Neuro-psychiatrist?

Has anyone here ever been referred to one?

I am seeing my neuro again on Wednesday, so will double check as to why he wants me to see this guy, but I just thought it was strange.

I was sent to one a couple of years ago to have my brain function evaluated. I was there for an entire day of intelligence testing, I guess to determine whether I had any permanent mental impairments. The testing wasn't too bad, just like being in school all day.

Thanks Dianna....I just get nervous at the word 'psychiatrist'

The appointment isn't until September 24th.
