Friends,
I ussually post on the diabetic site but I have some questions about ms. My brother who is 57 was diagnosed with ms a few months ago. He also is type two diabetic for 15 years or so who must now give him self daily insulin shots. He has been having blurry vision in one eye. He had a cataract removed and a lense put in but his vision is still blurry. Better than before but even with new glasses it's still blurry. His specialist says his retina is ok but he has some kind of separation of the optic nerve. They want to put him on some medicine that is $3000.00 a month. What I want to know is can ms cause damage to th optic nerve? or the eyes in other ways or is it his diabetus causing this separation?
