Hey everyone, I usually post in the fibro forum but have a question for those who are more knowledgeable about MS.
I have some symptoms characteristic of MS such as the hug (tight aching around my chest), burning, shooting pains down spine, numbness and tingling, crawling sensations, pinprick sensations, shooting pain, stabbing pain, weakness, very frequent urination, eye pain and difficulty walking because my legs feel so heavy (I feel so clumsy!).
I saw a neurologist a few days ago who checked my reflexes and said everything looked fine. He assured me that no further testing needed to be done and that all of these pains are attributed to depression (which I don't have).
I'm at a place where I am coming to terms with the fibro diagnosis, but because my mother has MS I am still worried that I could be experiencing early symptoms.
So my question is, was the neurologist right in ruling out MS (because my reflexes where normal?) Can I put my fear to rest, or seek a second opinion?
Thanks for reading!
