Hello,

I'm a 21 year old female with a possible diagnosis of MS. According to my mri report I do meet the criteria for MS and am yet to see a neurologist to confirm this. I have 12 lesions on my brain all of which are distributed in the right place for MS. Does anyone know how accurate the MRI Mc Donald Criteria is?? Kinda freakin' out a little!!

My person experience, I was giving an MS DX with just my MRI. MS can be such a difficult DX to get. I found out I had it since I was 19, but didn't get the DX Till 22. When do you go to your Neurologist?

my appointment is on the 20th June, even though my initial attack was 6 months ago (moved to another city and got lost in the system). Are 12 lesions enough to make a diagnosis with? I had a lumber puncture but they couldn't get past my nerves so they gave up. And I hope I don't have to go through that again! haha. Have you heard about the Swank diet?? Or have you tried it?

I have heard "more than 2", but I only heard that once..I didnt know their had to be a certain # to be honest. When I got the DX, all they said was, or he said was. "Well, you have MS"

Okay, well I guess I will have to see what the doc says, but I don't have any solid symptoms or anything. Just things such as pins and needles everyday, sharp pains behind my eyes, blurry vision- which I think is just myopia, and flashes of fatigue in the afternoon, recurrent infections, plus my speech has decreased over the last couple of years. Otherwise I don't experience balance or co-ordination issues or anything like that.
