Hey everyone,
My name is Stephanie and I'm new here.
So I'm going to my regular doctor next week to ask for a referral to a neurologist. I've been suffering from symptoms for about a year now (maybe longer), of what I think may be MS. Last year, I had what I now believe to be a relapse. Went to the doctors with terrible pain around my chest, which caused me an inability to breathe and to cough all the time. It lasted 2 months, and responded the best to a course of steroids, where my symptoms began to decrease. Chest xray was fine, and i was also checked for asthma which came back negitive. I now believe this to be the MS hug. Since then, I've had a multitude of symptoms; fatigue, having to pee all the time, brain fog, shakes, my hands feel like I am constantly wearing gloves, an episode of severe vertigo, and my legs have general weakness.
Now I've started to have another episode, in which I feel like I am wearing a girdle on my right side, from right below my breast to the top of my hip. Had it for about a week now.
I know MS is not hereditary, but my mother has MS, and she was the one that told me to get checked out.
What do you guys think? Anything would be helpful :)
