This is my first post of many to come since finding this board. I have so many symptoms of MS that I don't want them lost in a single "is this MS" thread.

As a disclaimer, I am seeing a neurologist but have not had a final diagnosis yet. My initial Brain MRI came back normal but with a bright spot that the neuro said could be very normal from a migraine, etc. I have had EMG/NC test which came back abnormal but fortunately they ruled out ALS. I'm awaiting the LP.

Onto topic, occasionally when I bend my head I get a very quick zap between my shoulder blades - it does not run all the way down though. Occasionally I feel it in the side of my neck too.

Does this sound familiar too anyone or should I expect it to run all the way down my spine?

I am usually telling people that their symptoms don't seem like MS. I am quite worried for you. A bright white spot indicates an active lesion in MS. While migraines can cause lesions, the fact that this one is white leaves me wondering.

The zap you describes is called L'hermittes syndrome. It is most often associated with MS. Google it. Your neurologist should have requested an evoked potentials test. An EMG is not a test of the central nervous system. I am guessing your neurologist is not an MS specialist. You need to find one of those as soon as possible.

When I had L'hermittes, it only went down my neck. It doesn't always go all the way down your spine.
