Brain lesion questions?

I was diagnosed with Lyme D. just yesterday but the LLMD said he did not have Pts. with brain lesions. So maybe the lesions are from MS--which the Neuro thought it m/b back a few months ago.
My question is does a Lumbar P. test show results of other things like LD and are they very accurate?
