Spring breaking sound/dizziness

Strangest thing happened today while at work...just sitting at desk & heard like a small spring breaking sound (boing) inside my head...instantly very dizzy for like 10 seconds then fine. Anyone had this kind of thing happen? Waiting for neurologist nurse to call me back....who knows if that will even be today.

Ha! I thought that happened to just me! I get it all the time--usually while lying down though. I never seem to have any additional symptoms...just the sound in my head.

Well it's good to know it's not just me lol....I called neurologist office again because knew they were going to close soon...was told if happens again & I think it's life threatening to go to hospital. Well duh. I wanted to know if they knew what it was/is it a normal occurrence/etc... Who knows if the nurse will even call tomorrow...I talked to the receptionist. Thank you VERY much for your post! It's a relief to know someone else is/has experienced this :)
