I think I have ms !! Having a hard time results on Tuesday ! Please help !!!

I having the worst time of my life. I just ended up a relationship and two days after I get told I could have ms. I also think I could have it because to be honest I don't know what else could be causing all this . I first started With what seemed to be gerd problems arm numbness and pain that would Come and go. I have a lot of problems with my digestive track and I was put on omeprazole. I took it for almost two months then I began getting worse having pain my legs and they switch me to nexium for three days then they said I could take protonix. First day I took that pill I felt a horrible pain coming from my throat to my hear and inside my head. After that all went crazy ! I have weakness in my legs, spasms , feeling sick tired , blurry weird light sensitivity, Head pressure and stomach pain. I went to see a neurologist and she ordered the two Mri. After that I began having a horrible cough, stomach pain , low back pain ,mucus in the back of my throat , my bones crack, and feel like I have arthritis in my left hand and the other symtoms come and go. The only thing I have all the time is an overall feeling of of being sick . Right now I feel shaky and sick. I have no idea what is going on with me I have been at the ER about 9 times in these past 5 months. I had many blood tests , barium swallow , 2 ct scans and they can't tell be what is happening . I did my physical evaluation and it all was ok at the neurologist office. I am preparing myself for bad news because I truly feel bad . I am terrified of having ms I just don't know much about it. I am afraid it will end up my life and I won't be able to move. Please help!!

Hello Lotus Indigo,

Have you heard the MRI results yet? Your normal Neurological evaluation/exam is a good thing, it means you might not have MS :-) Those with MS do not have completely normal Neurological evaluations.

Some of the symptoms you are having sounds more like a virus or medication side effects rather than MS. You might consider checking the side effects of your medications to see if what you are experiencing is due to that.

Dear lotus,

I'm sorry you find yourself looking for answers. You definitely have a lot going on. I agree with Snoopy, your symptoms could be caused by many things other that MS. The fact that you have symptoms coming and going seem to indicate something other than MS. Most of us living with MS have consistent symptoms. I have the same symptoms 24/7. They may be worse or not so bad depending upon fatigue, the weather, having a cold or allergies.

Hopefully you will receive answers real soon. Keep us posted. The results of your MRI should help in your diagnostic journey.

Hello ! thank you everyone who answered. My symptoms are never really one thing or the other. I constantly have pains, muscle stiffness and heaviness but not in the same way or in the same par of my body. Today I just realized my hair is getting thinner or falling down. I have no idea why!! I just got told they rescheduled my appointment in Thursday. I called my doctor 5 times and finally got through the nurse and I told her I need to know what is going on now because at least if its bad I want to be with someone just incase is something bad.It is going to be really a great impact to have MS. I can't believe they would not tell me ! !!! It has been 2 days pretty much. I am terribly worried.

Hi Lotus Indigo,

Multiple Sclerosis does not cause hair thinning or hair loss. Please speak to your Primary Care Physician about your hair thinning/hair loss.

There is a diagnostic criteria for Multiple Sclerosis. If your testing comes up normal then you will not be diagnosed with MS.

The symptoms seen in MS can also be symptoms of many other conditions, there is no symptom(s) unique or exclusive to MS.

Try to remain calm, it is very possible you don't have MS.

Hello ! I got he results of the test back she said all my brain looked normal except a minimal bulged disk in my neck. Unfortunately I just ended up in the ER again same symtoms. I have been a little constipated but I think is maybe be used I can't eat well. My hair has been falling too. My question is do you guys think I could have ms ? I still to go to an appointment with her I don't want to get too happy until I talk to her. Thank you so much for answering ! I do think I have ibs or Ibsd. I still have body stiffness , dizziness , acid reflux problems including nausea , headache , Eye problems , back paín and random Numbness. I just pray whatever it is they can help me feel better. Thank you so much for listening , you know sometimes when you are sick or on feeling bad one thinks no one is there to listen or in this case to read . Well thank you for reading !!

I am glad to hear that your MRI results are normal. That will very likely rule out MS.

Do you spend a lot of time out doors IE; camping?
