Hello
I want to tell you all, I am always lurking over the board and keeping up with each and everyone of you.As for me things are going very well, I am currently awaiting the baclofen pump. I still inject avonex with little side effects, if any at all.Oh yea and the great news is, I had my social security hearing Monday morning. They hearing was very short, they took one look at my file and ask me the biggest heart breaking question I think they could have ask me...(How does ms affect you and your familys life) well hmmmm I lost it crying , sobbing couldnt talk and finally I did answer. They approved my social security before I even left the court room... finally something positive for me ...yipeee
I just had a few questions I wanted to ask all you smart peeps...lol
- I am just curious how many of you had positive lumbar puncture with there diagnosis of MS????
-If you never had a positive lumbar puncture, on what basis did they daignose your ms???
- Do any of you have the baclofen pump?I may have already ask that, but since I have an MS head I do not remember.....lol
You all are very wonderful people!!!!!!
I'm sorry any of us have to be here...but I'm glad to see you back. If that makes any sense.. :)
I had a positive lumbar puncture when I was diagnosed with MS...but that was years and years ago, long before MRI's existed. I was diagnosed based on many clinical signs -- those tests the neuro runs in his office which sometimes seem kind of superficial (like standing on one foot with your eyes closed) but which can tell him lots about what is going on with your central nervous system. And I had evoked potential testing -- where they test the electrical signals from your brain to your body, and note if there are differences there. There were.
I don't have the baclofen pump, so can't help with that. I hope one of the others comes along soon, who has had some experience with it.
