Hello everyone

I was 13 when it started, I was sitting down on my computer chair and i stood up and i almost blacked out for the next few weeks it continued untill i just felt a numb spot in the right side of my head, Then after that i was getting pins and needles in my penis untill that went numb, And after i came back off holiday a spot of my chest was numb, 2 years later the back of my neck and head are numb, a spot on my leg, and one of my organs and all the rest i mentioned after they go numb i do not feel them again, Have i got MS?, I am getting a numbing pain the back of my head now, I don't think i have any other syptoms of MS.

It started when i cut out all food when i was really big.

Welcome to the forum. Everything you have described does sound scarey. Have you went to see your Dr? If I were you I would be calling your Dr and getting in there asap. Numbness can be caused by many things, so your physician should start a series of tests to try to determine a root cause. No one here can tell you what you have is MS, but can tell you if they have symptoms of the like and things like that. I have numbness that comes and goes, but also have many other symptoms. Best thing to do is start a journal and write everything down that you are experiencing in that journal. There is a post that was a couple days ago that someone described the best way to journalize the symptoms. Take a look at that and call your Doc! Please keep us posted.

Welcome to the board. I'm sorry u'r going thru all this and i'm sure ur quite scared, but try to hang in there. Have u seen any docs about this yet? If not, that's the best first step. Numbness can be a part of ms, but u don't list any other symptoms. U may want to start with u'r pcp and let him refer u to the proper doc for testing as is needed. Numbness as u'r describing could be from many things and those things need to be tested for and eliminated or treated if found to be the cause. Please let us know how u'r doing and what the doc says. Again, welcome to the board.

Thank you for your words, I have a docter appointment today hopefully i will see whats wrong with me i'll reply after that, I have a question will i have to live with this numbness my whole life or there is treatment?.

Ok went to the doctors, And tomorrow i get a bloodtest, I got the feeling the doctor didn't really know anything about numbness.

What blood tests did the doc order? Maybe someone here has had the same and can tell you what the doc may be looking for? What type of dx did he put on the order?

Hi Anthony,

 

   I'm glad you went to the doctor.  Numbness can be caused by a lot of different things, not just MS.  Try to hang in there and let the doctors do their thing and hopefully they'll figure out whats causing it and decide on how best to treat it for you.  Did you tell them about your not eating and thats when it began?  Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Hey everyone, Sorry i haven't been in touch, My bloodtest was normal and i got a new doctor who is really good, hes getting a specialist for me and a Mri scan ect, i was happy for awhile but then 4-5 days ago i started getting really bad breathing and i find it not hard to breath but i feel i ain't getting enough air to my lungs and i have to breath alot and its making me just sit down all day cause its so frustrating walking around, and i was just wondering if anyone else has got something like that and could it be connected to numbness or nerve damage, since i lost weight i have alway been really healthy eating no junk and doing alot of excercise, so i know it has nothing to do with my life style.

I have another doctors appointment tommorow, I'm gonna tell him about my breathing and see how it goes, And MSBLESSED and all the rest of you thanks its nice to know someone cares :-)

I am sorry you are feeling so badly.  It is frustrating to feel so badly and yet tests come back normal and the Drs don't know what is wrong.  Keep investigating.  Your symptoms are not normal.

Another thing to check out that has similar symptoms to MS is lyme disease.  Lyme can be very serious affecting the central nervous system as well as every organ in the body. 

If you check out lyme please know the bloodtests are only about 60% accurate.  The bacteria (lyme) evades the immune system and you do not produce antibodies and that is the reason the tests are inaccurate.  The best lab in the country for tickborne diseases is igenex in Palo Alto, CA.  Any Dr can sign for the test.

BTW shortness of breath is a classic symptom of babesia, which is a co-infection frequently found with the lyme bacteria. A large percentage of people who have lyme have atleast one co-infection (there are several)
