Hi Mommy!
:o) That sounds so funny for me a 39 yr old saying that to a perfect stranger! Welcome to the board. There are a TON of great people here that will be along soon to say hi.
You do have alot of the sensory issues/symptoms that many of us have here in limboland (not dx'd as of yet), however I think the key to your's being possibly something else is the excruciating pain you have in your lower back. MS comes with nerve pains, but from what your descript
ion is it sounds alot like muscle pain OR possibly a pinched nerve. Yes, I am not a Dr, but like Uppity said above, I think you need to keep at your doctor and possibly get an EMG on the most troublesome spots and at least a full scan either CT or MRI on your complete spine, not just the lower back. Another thing to check is your thyroid, that can make a ton of wacky symptoms that mimic MS.
The only reason why I know of this stuff is from all the blood work that I had have to rule out everything else. I had to have my hormones checked since the neuro wanted to rule that craziness out (had a hysto in 2004), that came back normal. I know my neuro thought for sure that my issues were coming from a thyroid problem (runs in the family) tremors, numbness, spasicity, however all my blood tests came back fine, then we did the MRI of the brain and found all my friends up there, that's when everything shifted to possible MS.
I hope you can get some more tests run to help ease your stress as well as keep you strong for those boys! Good Luck!
